In 2008, Ray founded impossible2Possible (i2P) (impossible2possible.com) an organization that aims to inspire and educate youth through adventure learning, inclusion and participation in expeditions. Youth Ambassadors are selected from around the globe then participate, at no cost, in all aspects of the expedition, from logistics and running to creating educational content and team support.
All of the i2P Youth Expeditions have included various challenge-based initiatives through an Experiential Learning program, in which thousands of students participate as active ‘team members’ during the expeditions, from classrooms all over the world. This program and its technology is also provided at no cost to the students or schools participating. Since its inception, i2P Youth Expeditions have included 12 grueling expeditions; Baffin Island, Tunisia, the Amazon, Bolivia, India, Botswana, Utah, Peru, Chile, Italy, California and Greece. The programs and expeditions are 100% free of cost. Read more about Ray Zahab.
Why I’m inspired by I2P
|At the age of 37, a close friend asked me to run a ½ marathon with her. A few months later, there I was at the start line, ready to complete my first ever road race event. I finished with a time of 1:53 and have been running ever since. In the spring of 2016, I decided to make the switch to trail running and have met incredibly wonderful people, including John & Ray Zahab.|| HELP ME REACH MY GOAL
My constant desire to challenge myself led me to summit Mont Kilimanjaro in 2013 and I am undertaking a 27 day white water kayaking adventure in Nepal, this coming March 2016; a sport I have recently discovered. I am also planning to run my very first ultra marathon in August 2016, a 150km challenge that I am looking forward to conquering. Giving back is important to me, and as part of this journey, I have discovered a cause that is very meaningful to me. This organization, called Impossible2Possible (“I2P”) encourages youth to reach beyond their perceived limits, and to use adventures as a means to educate, inspire and empower young people all over the world. I2P’s Experiential Learning Programs and expeditions deliver the world to the classroom and the classroom to the world!
As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Trainer, Dryland Coach of a youth alpine ski team, and mother of 2 young boys, I strongly believe in empowering and inspiring kids at a young age so they can not only have a better future themselves, but also make this world a better world! The more kids we can reach out to, the better our universe will be. I admire greatly what Ray Zahab has managed, and continues, to accomplish through I2P; hence I will not run 150km without giving back to a good cause that aligns with my beliefs.
My goal is to raise a minimum of $5,000. If you would be so kind as to contribute, it would be very much appreciated – every little bit helps!
As a proud supporter of i2P, Lifestyle Reboot will continue to donate a portion of all proceeds to this wonderful organization until my goal of $5,000 is reached.
Thank you so kindly for visiting my fundraising page and helping me making a difference! Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support — and don’t forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
