Teriyaki Chicken Salad

Sauce: 1 large clove garlic
2 tablespoons (30 mL) toasted sesame oil
3 tablespoons (45 mL) natural smooth peanut butter or almond butter
2 teaspoons (10 mL) grated fresh ginger (optional)
3 tablespoons (45 mL) fresh lime juice, plus more as needed
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon (37 mL) low-sodium tamari
1 to 2 teaspoons (5 to 10 mL) granulated sugar ** I use maple syrup

Breakfast Spiced Oatmeal Smoothie

1⁄4 cup wheat free oats
3⁄4 up of water (OR milk of your choice)
1/3 cup plain, full fat, organic yoghurt
1⁄2 tsp. ground cinnamon (or more if you really like cinnamon! Plus more for dusting)
1⁄4 tsp. ground turmeric
1 apple, chopped
1⁄2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. pure maple syrup
Small squeeze of 1⁄2 fresh lemon
2 medjool dates
1 tbsp. ground flax seeds
1 tbsp. chia seeds
1 scoop of your favorite NATURAL protein
powder (I use a non-GMO, organic, sprouted
grain powder)
3-4 ice cubes

Chocolate Banana Spinach Breakfast Shake

1 cup milk (cow’ s, almond, coconut, hemp, quinoa, rice)
1 scoop whey isolate chocolate protein powder (or a vegan powder)
1 banana
1 tsp. dark cocoa powder
1 heaping tbsp. homemade peanut butter (or almond butter); if homemade is
not available, choose all-natural nut butter
1/4 avocado
Handful of organic baby spinach
1 tbsp. ground flax seeds (or flax oil)
Place all the ingredients in the blender and process until smooth
