Over many years in the fitness industry, I have become increasingly aware of the role of proper nutrition in aiding athletic performance. As a busy mother of two active boys, I also realized that sound nutrition and life balance are important for everyone, not just athletes.
That’s when I decided to make this my life’s work – to help others, just like me, reboot their lifestyle.
I am a bilingual, Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a fitness coach, passionate about educating others on eating better, feeling better and living a better life. As a certified personal trainer, Twist Sports Performance Coach (level 1), group fitness instructor, TRX Suspension Training Coach, nutritionist and busy mom, I get it! Although at times, it is challenging to keep up with life’s many demands, over the years, I have found ways to simplify my approach to health and fitness so I can live a healthier life. I want to share that with you.
The mother, the trainer and the nutritionist in me believe in the importance of forging healthy habits at a young age to improve longevity and health. I coach teams of young athletes in their pre-season, dryland training and provide nutritional advice to improve their performance. However, you don’t have to be a young athlete to work with me. You can reboot your lifestyle at any age!
So, why should you talk to me? My experience and passion for fitness and nutrition makes me the right person to help you! I have a wealth of experience in both group and one-on-one environments. As a health & fitness professional, I have taught several types of group fitness classes for many years and led a team of more than 40 instructors. I was also nominated as “Instructor of the Year 2007” across Canada at Goodlife Fitness.
As a respected mentor and role model for my team, I am known for my high-level of fitness and constant desire to set new goals and conquer challenges. I believe in the importance of goal setting. What would life be without a goal?
“ Discipline is the bridge between goals & accomplishments” – Jim Rohn
My constant desire to challenge myself led me to summit Mont Kilimanjaro in 2013 without the aid of supplemental oxygen or high altitude medication.
In the spring of 2016, this same desire to challenge myself led me to Nepal on a mountain biking and white water kayaking adventure for nearly 6 weeks. As a runner with several road races under her belt, I have made the switch from road to trail running in the summer of 2015 and ran my first trail race in August 2015, a distance of 38km. I fell in love with the trails and decided to tackle a longer distance. One year later, in August 2016, under the guidance of my awesome running coach, Ray Zahab, and my strength & conditioning coach, John Zahab, I ran my first ultra marathon, a distance of 150km over 3 days (you can read about this experience under my bucket list blog!). What’s next? More ultra marathons, with the goal of making a difference.

Giving back is very important to me and as I continue to plan and train for big adventures, I proudly support impossible2Possible, an organization which aims at educating, empowering and inspiring youth around the globe to go beyond their perceived limits. I believe that reaching out to the younger generations can bring a brighter future to our world. Lifestyle Reboot will donate a portion of all proceeds to i2P with every services sold.
“If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you” – Fred Devito
What do I enjoy doing when I am not in the trails, cooking for my family or working? I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking with my boys, alpine & cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, camping, reading a good book (big Harry Potter & Lord of the Ring fan!), spending time with friends & family and travelling, when the finances are available!!
I look forward to meeting you to help you eat better, feel better, live better. What are you waiting for? Join me!

Holistic Nutrition is a natural approach to health that uses evidence-based techniques for diet, lifestyle and detoxification. Instead of focusing on just one aspect of the person, or taking a one size fits all methodology, holistic nutrition evaluates the complete health history, emotional state, lifestyle habits and current diet habits of an individual to determine the root cause of his or her health issues. Here are just some of the issues holistic nutritionists help with:
- Acne/skin conditions
- Dietary changes/food allergies
- Disease prevention (i.e. cancer/osteoperosis/arthritis)
- Hormone issues
- Increased energy
- Improved sleep
From there, the goal is to empower and educate the client into improving his or her health with the use of nutrient dense foods, natural supplementation and lifestyle recommendations.
How Does A Holistic Nutritionist Differ From A Registered Dietitian?
Registered dieticians apply the guidelines found in the Canada Food Guide and make recommendations based on the Recommended daily allowances. They are government regulated and often work out of government run institutions such as: hospitals and schools.
Registered dieticians have a wealth of knowledge as well, however it’s important to recognize that there is no one size fits all diet, and the majority of people feel significantly better not eating wheat & dairy, two of the main foods on Canada’s Food Guide.
As nutritionists are not yet government regulated, it’s important to look for the certification, Certified Nutritional Practitioners (CNPs), as CNPs are holistic nutritionists with a diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition. This is recognized and approved by the Certified Nutritional Practitioners Council of Canada (CNPCC). The other certification to look for is RHN which stands for Registered Holistic Nutritionist.
Here is a list of some of the courses a Holistic Nutritionist would have taken:
- Fundamentals of nutrition
- Anatomy & physiology
- Advanced nutrition research
- Herbal medicine
- Prevention of disease
- Pathology of disease
- Nutrition and the environment
- Psychology of disease
- Natural supplementation
- Holistic food preparation
